Dr. Bernstein had one of the first 5 Wavelight® ruby lasers in the U.S. and was the first to have it in Pennsylvania. The Wavelight® ruby laser is a Q-switched laser for removing tattoos and unwanted pigmentation such as unwanted tattoos, freckles, pigmented scars and café au lait birthmarks. It emits red light in pulses approximately 20 nanoseconds (billionths of a second) long. Short pulses are ideal for removing microscopic pigment granules.
