How is BOTOX® treatment done?
Botox® is an injectable treatment that involves careful and artistic planning. Our physicians examine your facial anatomy, muscle movement, and individualizes your treatment plan. A tiny needle with precise pre-measured doses is injected into specific areas. There may be a little swelling and bruising at the injection sites. It takes up to 2 weeks for results to be show but is well worth it.
Are there any restrictions after I get Botox®?
There are no restrictions after getting Botox®. You can put on make-up right away, exercise, and continue with your normal skincare routine.
Can I get Botox® if I'm pregnant or nursing?
No, you cannot get Botox® if you’re pregnant or nursing. We do not have enough research to understand whether Botox® is safe during pregnancy or nursing.
How long does Botox® last?
On average, Botox® usually lasts approximately 3-4 months.
Will I see results immediately after the treatment?
You won’t see any results immediately after the treatment. Botox® takes up to 2 weeks to kick in, so you’ll see the treatment results by 2 weeks.
Does it hurt?
Botox® is injected with tiny needles, and the procedure is well-tolerated by most people.
Will I look "crazy" after I get Botox®?
Our physicians use a conservative approach, with the goal of helping you look natural.
When is a good age to start getting Botox®?
Because everyone is different, there is no universal “good age” to start Botox®. In general, it is a good idea to start Botox® if you are noticing the appearance of facial lines at rest.
Are there any restrictions after Botox®?
There are minimal restrictions after Botox®. You can continue to exercise as you normally do, and you can continue your normal skincare routine. You should wait at least 24-48 hours to get a facial or a massage. You should avoid any at-home laser hair removal, microneedling, radiofrequency, or roller devices for 48 hours.
Do I need to do anything to prepare for my first treatment?
Try to come to your first appointment with no make-up (except for eye make-up). You can also remove your make-up once you arrive at the office. We will also clean the skin thoroughly before each treatment to remove any make-up or facial product (moisturizer, sunscreen).
What is the lip flip?
We can use Botox® to make your lips look fuller. We inject Botox® to the vermillion border (edge of your lip) to evert (open up) your lips to give you a fuller, natural look.

SIMILAR TO BOTOX®
Xeomin® is an anti-aging neuromodulator that is similar to Dysport® and Botox®. It can help to reduce the appearance of facial lines and wrinkles. Xeomin® has been FDA-approved improve frown lines since 2011. Wrinkles can form due to where muscles of facial expression attach to the skin. This happens when skin is damaged enough by the sun to show these attachments. With time, these lines can become deeper and turn into deep furrows. Xeomin® can help reduce muscle contraction to dramatically soften or eliminate the appearance of these wrinkles.

Is Xeomin® right for you?
If you are an adult with facial wrinkles or frown lines, then you may be a good candidate for Xeomin®. It can recreate a more youthful and rested appearance. Our physicians will discuss the results you can expect to see during your consultation.
How is Xeomin® treatment done?
Precise amounts of Xeomin® are drawn up in a syringe and a tiny needle is used to administer the injections. Our physicians will assess your facial anatomy and movement to determine the appropriate locations for each injection. No anesthesia is required, but you can use a cold pack afterwards to minimize any swelling or bruising.
How do I know if I should get Dysport®, Botox®, or Xeomin®?

What are common side effects after Xeomin® injection?
You may experience some minor swelling and bruising at the site of the injection.
What is the difference between Botox®, Dysport®, and Xeomin®?
All of these products are types of botulinum toxin injections. They all work in the same way to decrease muscle contractions and reduce the appearance of lines. Each product represents a different brand of botulinum toxin. They can all be used to decrease facial wrinkles by weakening muscle contractions. Botox®, Dysport®, and Xeomin® are all FDA-approved products.
Will I see results immediately after the treatment?
You won’t see any results immediately after the treatment. Xeomin® can take up to 2 weeks to kick in, although many patients notice a difference after just a week.

How is Dysport® treatment done?
A treatment takes only a few minutes and is commonly done even during a lunch hour. Our physicians use a very fine needle to inject pre-measured doses of Dysport® directly into targeted muscles. This will prevent them from contracting, which allows existing lines and wrinkles to smooth out and prevents the formation of new ones. The formula works over a few days to gradually relax the muscles. Swelling and bruising is usually very minimal.

Once my Dysport® wears off, what will my wrinkles look like?

What is Daxxify®?
Daxxify® is an FDA-approved neuromodulator that uses botulinum toxin A. It is approved for treatment of frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines).
How does Daxxify® compare to Botox® or Xeomin®?
Since all three agents continue botulinum toxin A, you can switch to Dysport® if you’ve previously used Botox® or Xeomin®.
