About Filler

INJECTABLE FILLERS QUICKLY ADD VOLUME AND SMOOTH FINE LINES AND WRINKLES.

Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers such as the Juvederm,® Restylane,® Belotero,® and RHA® lines are popular, modern anti-aging solutions for restoring volume lost from aging and sun-damage to restore skin smoothness and the natural looking results you expect and deserve. Formulated with hyaluronic acid, a natural component of our skin that binds 1,000 times its weight in water, restores volume and skin hydration adding firmness and contour. In addition, HA fillers stimulate skin remodeling for long-lasting results. HA fillers work very well for deeper folds and wrinkles. The duration of the response depends upon the area treated, the filler used and how a person’s own body responds to the filler material. Radiesse® is a physiologic filler, or a substance found in the body, and is composed of calcium hydroxyapatite. It is used as a deep filler. Another deep filler is Sculptra,® poly-l-lactic acid, a material that is also used in absorbable sutures. Sculptra® provides deep volume to restore facial volume that is lost as a result of aging and photoaging.

WHICH HA FILLER IS RIGHT FOR ME?

With so many excellent options today, it gets confusing. During your personal consultation our expert physician injectors can determine which product is right for you. You should have a strong desire to correct deep facial lines, wrinkles and grooves and/or to add volume using an injectable treatment, should be in otherwise good health and have realistic expectations.

HA FILLER TREATMENT- HOW IT’S DONE

Our physician injector administers the treatments using a very fine needle containing a pre-measured filler syringe. The HA filler is injected skillfully, into pre-targeted areas of the face to plump up lines, wrinkles and folds. You may experience minimal swelling and bruising at the injection sites. This resolves on its own in a couple of days.

HOW CAN I BE SURE WHICH HA FILLER IS RIGHT FOR ME WITH SO MANY OPTIONS TODAY?

There are several excellent options available today and each has its own merits. Depending upon your facial architecture, aging concerns, goals and other factors, our physicians will determine which products are the right choice for you.

HOW SOON AFTER TREATMENT WILL I SEE RESULTS?

Volume restoration occurs immediately, but your final results will not be visible until all swelling and bruising has resolved. This takes only a few days. Then the volume added by your HA filler will be apparent. Skin remodeling also takes place leading to some long-lasting results.

IS HA FILLER TREATMENT PAINFUL?

HA filler placement involves injections, and all injections cause some discomfort. Our physicians are experts at administering fillers and are able to maximize results while minimizing discomfort. Sometimes fillers with added local anesthetic are used to minimize discomfort.

HOW LONG WILL THE RESULTS OF HA FILLERS LAST?

Juvederm users typically enjoy their natural looking beauty for 8 to 12 months while following the Juvederm maintenance program. Remember, Juvederm is formulated and approved to treat “deeper” lines, wrinkles and folds.

WILL INSURANCE PAY FOR INJECTABLE TREATMENTS?
